Attacks on Jews and Muslims in Germany have rocketed since the outbreak of the recent Israel-Hamas war. Antisemitic incidents rose by more than 80% last year, compared to 2022. Some 4,782 episodes were recorded - an average of 13 per day. The figures from the monitoring group the Federal Association of Departments for Research and Information on Antisemitism (RIAS) show there was a major uptick following Hamas's 7 October attacks.
