A record number of far-right activists were convicted of terror offences last year with at least three having significant ties to Merseyside. Twenty-three people were convicted of offences from sharing online terror videos to disseminating and encouraging terrorism via podcasts. None of those convicted carried out a terrorist act though several were caught in the preparation of such offences. The data comes from advocacy group Hope Not Hate's State of Hate 2024 report.
